I'll give you the new captions first...
And now the update!
During the first week I took off, I didn't look up any new pictures for captions or even try to write any. I'll admit, it was great. No obligations. No need to pound my head against a wall to eek out a few sentences. Less stress. (Not because of any of you, mind. Just my own personal shit...) I'll be honest,
I thought it might be time to stop writing captions. I really did. I flirted with the idea over and over. It was closer than I thought...
But about a week ago, I sat down to write again and I ACTUALLY finished one. Then another. It was nice to get something done. Then I took a couple days off. Then wrote another couple. I stopped making myself do things at certain times. I stopped pressuring myself to write when I couldn't get anything to stick. It was a far better time than before...
So all that being said, I think for the rest of this year I'll post captions once a month. Might be 20. Might be 2. Whatever my brain decides to let me get out. Over that time I'll see if the passion to keep doing this is still there or if it really IS time to stop. I've been doing this for seven-ish years now and, as of today, will be for awhile longer.
We'll see what happens. In the meantime, though, thank you all for sticking around. Thank you all for being patient. Maybe this is just a bump in the road...
